As the Montana sky finally darkened, community workers and supporters joined Sister Kathleen O’Sullivan for a candlelight vigil to honor workers across Montana and across the country who have experienced the systematic violation of their rights and freedoms that occurs so often when workers try to unionize. For over an hour, led by Sister Kathleen, workers shared their stories of violation and solidarity, despair and triumph. Drawing strength from our shared history, and building on our common vision of a world in which every worker has a job that affords them dignity and respect, we reaffirmed our commitment to making that shared vision a reality, beginning with the passage of the Employee Free Choice Act.
