Europe seems to be in a bit of a crisis these days and it seems too risky to hire anybody from europe with the EU being overly protective of the workers and giving less security and benefits to the real people who risk their wealth and create jobs for others. It is a catch 22 and both sides will argue that they deserve better.
Take common examples where a business can't fire a worker because the payouts would be so large. Say you have an employee for 15 years working at your company but your business struggles to break even year after year. Well if you want to let go of your employee of 15 years who has now stopped working hard knowing that you can't fire them, well this might cost 50,000 euros to get out of this. If you don't have this money on hand then how else can you survive?
In Spain it seems these problems will only be amplified as the country has approached unemployment levels of 20%. This is definitely not sustainable and you wonder what these people do to survive. On the streets workers don't seem concerned knowing that if they are let go the government will send them money and they don't have to work.
It seems like a bad system that is rewarding workers to be lazier than they probably want to be.
